Kiblawi Takes the Helm at Truland

After a year and a half as president of the firm's Truland Service Corporation affiliate, Kiblawi will lead Truland Systems.

Truland Systems of Reston, Va., recently promoted Nazeeh Kiblawi to president. Kiblawi joined Truland in early 2004 as president of Truland Service Corporation. Under his leadership, the Truland affiliate grew by nearly 25 percent. Kiblawi has also led another Truland affiliate, TECH, Inc., since 2004. He has more than 30 years of electrical contracting experience. He previously served as MEP team leader at HITT Contracting. In other personnel moves, Truland hired Tom Browning as vice president of preconstruction services. He has more than 30 years of construction experience in the Washington, D.C. area.

Centex Construction of Fairfax, Va., recently hired David Kole as division vice president and division chief financial officer. Kole's responsibilities include all aspects of financial planning, reporting and critical controls, including accounting, risk management and asset management. He will also be involved in strategic business planning, forecasting and implementation. He brings more than 20 years of experience to Centex. In other personnel moves, Centex promoted Steven Lobb from senior superintendent to project executive. He has worked in the construction industry for 32 years and has been employed at Centex for more than 10 years. The company also hired Bill Agosti and Ralph Debnam as senior project managers. Agosti has nearly 35 years of construction experience and Debnam has worked in construction for nearly 40 years.

Heery International of Washington, D.C., recently promoted Wilbur Gregory to area manager. Gregory was previously operations manager. The move follows the retirement of Alex Johnston III. Johnston's 47-year career included 30 years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and 17 years with Heery.

Kling of Washington, D.C., recently hired Scott Waters as director of projects. Waters will be focused on growing Kling's federal government practice, while enhancing the overall capabilities of the Washington, D.C., office. He has more than 24 years of experience in architecture.

Mancini-Duffy of Washington, D.C., recently promoted Joanna Adams to director of design. She was previously senior designer and has more than 15 years of experience.

Schnabel Engineering of Philadelphia, Pa., recently announced that Allen Cadden and Preston Frey have been elected to serve on its board of directors for 2005-2006. Cadden and Frey join returning members Gordon Matheson, David Campbell, Raymond DeStephen, William Murphy, James Seli and Robert Cannon. In other personnel moves, Schnabel hired Bohdan Pazuniak as senior associate in the firms' West Chester, Pa., office. He has more than 27 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and construction inspection services. Brian Banks was promoted to associate.

Cannon Design of Arlington, Va., recently hired Mark Erdly as a principal. Erdly will be responsible for advancing the firm's presence in the federal market. Erdly's previous federal projects include Naval Sea Systems Command Headquarters in Washington and the Mary Switzer Building modernization in Washington. In other personnel moves, Cannon Design hired Michael Yung and Earl Massey II as staff architects.

Hillier Architecture of Philadelphia, Pa., recently announced several personnel moves. Robert Hotes was hired to the firm's adaptive reuse practice group as an associate. Nancy Davis was hired as senior interior designer. Scott Duenow was hired as a project executive. Christopher Tantillo was hired as an architect. New designers added to the staff include Raymond Maggi, Brian Herig, Jillian Burgess and Ryan Hill.

Peckar, Abramson, Bastianelli & Kelly of Washington, D.C., recently hired William Thompson, Jr. and Michael Branca as partners. They were both previously at Thompson & Waldron.
